Family Constellations for Addiction
February 20, 2021 | 9:30am – 5pm EST
So many of us have experienced the pain of addiction in ourselves, or stood by helplessly as the pattern unfolded in a loved one. Be it a drug or alcohol addiction or any form of self destructive behavior, these symptoms are difficult to change without understanding the trauma or pain that they mask.
Join us in applying constellation work to addictive patterns, with special guest Rasada Goldblatt. Rasada has 15 years of working in the Systems field, as well as extensive experience in working with addiction in a variety of environments including rehab centers. He will share how to effectively use constellation work in service of people struggling with addiction.
The focus of this workshop is on increasing the capacity to see and feel the pain behind the symptom, while acknowledging the intelligence of the addictive behaviour that protects the pain. This creates space to remove the stigma and support the release of addictive behaviour in the addict as well as the family members.
About Rasada Goldblatt:
Rasada is a creative and dynamic practitioner. After surviving teenage addiction and compulsory Army Service in 1984, Rasada’s pursuits and passions ignited in the study of meditation and other healing modalities. As a committed seeker and healer, he qualified as a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner in 2008. He has undertaken advanced training with Peter Levine while also serving as a member of www.familyconstellations.co.za since 2008.
When working with people in various stages of crisis, Rasada assists each individual to slow down, unpack, recognize, and remember their innate capacity for change. For many years he has facilitated a weekly session in a drug rehab in Johannesburg, where he demonstrates a sensitive, playful and loving respect for the possible. Somatic Experiencing, Systemic Constellations and Meditation are just some of Rasada’s offerings for healing and enriching lives.
